I’m Jamila… Your Chief Enrichment Officer

Imma tell you a not-so-secret “secret.”

I don’t like the word empowerment. It’s overused and overdone, and quite frankly… I’m over it.

I learned a long time ago that I can’t be in the business of empowering anyone. That would mean I’d be giving you everything you needed to bump up to whatever level and leave everything else behind in a shitty dust cloud.

Hell, at least that’s what it feels like.

No, I’m about enrichment instead.
The thing is this world wants us to believe that we’re on this planet to keep climbing whatever f*cking ladder is in front of us until we reach the top. And there never is a top. It’s always growing and getting bigger and we never, ever figure out how to stop.

Stop moving, stop doing, stop going, stop hustling.

But what I realized is, this world isn’t about that. It’s about enriching your life.

Through experiences. And friendships. And active listening.

And, most importantly, PASSION.

And lemme tell ya, when you have a friend who is ready to be there through the hot seat AND the love seat, it’s pretty f*cking easy to follow your passions. But when you have a whole community of friends who do that AND give you accountability? Well, you might as well be in a GD skyrocket getting there. With those friends on board going to their passions too.

Let me start over…

I’m a mom of three boys. (You can guess what that’s been like) and a wife to a whole husband (high school sweethearts and all that). I stay laughing. I stay on my toes. I also stay pulled in six different directions at all times.

So when I say that I get having to do all the shit for everyone. Know, I’ve been there. I’m still there. And I also know the one f*cking thing that actually supports me through it and in it and past it… is a strong Black sisterhood full of women who understood the plight and therefore, could relate. Without the postured Black women in my life, I wouldn’t be who I am today.

We’ve all been in a place where you have to put on the armor of being the Strong Black Woman. Hell, I’ve been the only Black woman in a sea full of white faces at some of the hardest moments in my life.

And each time, it enlightened me a little more as to what true support looks like when we face those moments.

Look, Sis. I ain’t about the lifestyle of code-switching and playing games within the white man’s patriarchy. And I ain’t about living my life by checking off necessity after necessity.

So if you’re ready for the kind of conversation that allows you to do the same, then I’m all ears to help you create a reality of fruitful relationships.

My Mission

Is to bring that kind of friendship to every Black maverick woman looking for accountability, enrichment, and connection to not only reach what their passions are… but to weave them into their lives seamlessly and sustainably.
