Your Community. Your Sisterhood. Your Legacy. Starting NOW.

I don’t know what it is, but it seems like errybody is talking about building a legacy… for later. Like, when you’re gone.

Um… why? Why do I want to focus on the moment when I’m gone when I could, for just as much work and badassness, create a legacy I can live out NOW?

I’m pretty sure you could agree to that, too, right?

After all, Black women are fed this “truth” that we should be strong, hard workers, making sure damn near everyone else around us is smooth sailing. Why the hell wouldn’t we do it for ourselves, too?

That’s what we’re doing here. Together. Building an engaging community full of Melanin Mavericks who understand that we shouldn’t f*ck around with our passionate desires.

We’ve made sure everyone else’s passions are taken care of…

We deserve to live out ours, too.

Let's Have The Conversations

Here’s the thing. We live in a world where you and I are constantly in these proverbial rooms where we can’t just let out our thoughts.

Because if we told our families that we wanted to pursue a passion, we’d be Mom-guilted into filling “our” time with the kids. Or partners. Or housework.

Because if we told our co-workers about the truth of what we did on our weekends, we’d be greeted with a “That’s nice” ‘compliment.’

Because we’re Mom-guilted, spouse-guilted, friend-guilted, and white patriarchy-guilted into putting the conversations we want to start… aside.

Shit, I’m tired of that. And I know you are, too.

So here’s the space for it all

For the conversations about what feels shitty in your life. For the conversations about the reality of what you’re dealing with. And for the conversations about your goals and accomplishments and everything you have been wanting to happen in your life and career.

For the conversations about your passion.

For the conversations about your passion.
So eff not being able to have real talk. With real people. Who really lift you up when you really need it and celebrate you during your wins.

You deserve to live a life with passion

You deserve to live a life with passion. And there’s no better way than a sisterhood who gets you to get you there.

Creating enlightened experiences and bonds without the bullshit for the melanated mavericks to show up in full vulnerability and transparency. AKA: The sisterhood where we can be our whole ass selves.

Win Some W(h)ine Some

Show up as your Whole. Damn. Self. The good, the chaos, the messy. It’s all welcome here without judgment, and without any bullshit codeswitching. This is our place to lay down whatever damn weight we’ve been lifting and walk away with everyone feeling lighter.

Girls Trips

Curated for the grown ass gals looking to bond through cultural experiences with both new and seasoned friends. If you’re looking for a getaway vibe, but also want to be held by a Sisterhood who’s getting away too, this is the space for you.

Events

Not all bonding takes place over a meal (but hey, I’m not going to stick my nose up at a good plate of food.) We can also get together with brushes in hand and learn to paint doves (or whatever image is on the table.) We can book a private band and hold ourselves a backyard concert. Need to let off some steam in a rage room and smash some car windows? I’m here for you. Point is this: No matter how big or small the activity is, we will be creating a bond. That’s was sisterhood is for.

Screw bubble baths and facial masks as self care.
This is the deep diving, community building, putting yourself as the star of the show for real self care you deserve.

My Promise to You

My whole life, I wanted a space full of people who look like me, talk like me, rock like me, and get me. Not in the cookie-cutter sense, but in the real and raw sense of

“Girl, I GET YOU.”

In work and business… and in life and passion.
In my eyes, the you can’t exactly compartmentalize that ish.
Because it all works together as it revolves and evolves over time. It’s all a part of you.

This is the space for that. For conversation to flow. For connection to happen. For reach to broaden. For necessity to take a step back and let passion forward.

So if you’re looking for the tight-knit group of badass Black women who are there for the warm and fuzzy as well as the real and raw… this is it.

Remember just a few scrolls up on this page? Yeah, there are several ways we can do this. But it all leads to the same thing:

Building your legacy of passion.

Let’s do this shit.

Heard 'Em Say

Come see what the the community hunnis are saying about their Win Some, W(h)ine Some experience!

Genuine, supportive and kind are words I would use to describe Jamila. As Founder and Chief Enrichment Officer of Hazelbrook Consulting and Win Some, W(h)ine Some, she has created a safe & supportive space for us. Jamila has a wonderful way of making you feel welcomed, seen and heard. Her desire to create community among Black women entrepreneurs is necessary for those of us who seek to sustain and to grow businesses through co-creation & collaboration. Jamila has found her calling!

My experience with the Break Bread Build Bonds networking dinners has been excellent. These experiences have allowed me to network with other amazing women and forge a sisterhood. We exchange ideas and offer support and resources when needed. I've yearned for connections like these and look forward to our gatherings.
